Tonight before our family prayer, Lane and Aige were talking about what we should ask Heavenly Father for, like making good choices so when we die we can live with him again. Aige gave the prayer, and asked that we "come to Earth safely, and help us to die quickly". Try holding in the laugh for that one. Well, I guess when that time comes, and hopefully not too soon, maybe it'll be a quick departure.

Are you kidding?
Yesterday I received in the mail from Lane's insurance company a statement of what they have been billed so far for his accident. Any guesses on the total? I was a bit surprised. highlight to find out...
over $88,000!
And we're not even done! Good thing he's covered and we're not paying near that much!

Sorry, just can't think of a good title :)
So today it has been one month since Lane's accident. I was realizing that I haven't been keeping y'all up with what's been happening. He's been going to physical therapy 3 times a week- we joke because one of his first exercises was to squeeze his butt cheeks. He went back to work last week and worked two hours a day, and will gradually increase how long he goes each day. Totally doesn't sound like much, but he can't sit for longer than twenty minutes and he's not suppose to lift more than 5 pounds. I'd say he's doing pretty good. It's been nice having him home, I feel like this has been one long weekend. Now if only we could be out doing lots of fun things. I haven't watched this many movies.....ever!!
Oh, and I'm so very very excited because Aige was on a waiting list for a t-ball team, and last week they called and said they had a spot for him!! Yippee!!

Happy Birthday, Evelyn!
-She's a little chatterbox. I think she probably talks better than the average two year old. She's always been easy to communicate with, even before she was one I could ask her yes and no questions and she would answer with an "uh-huh" or "uh-uh". Really, she doesn't shut up.
-She loves to dance!! Her favorite movie is Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. From the first time she watched it she dances along with it. She'll copy their moves. I've even taken time with her to teach her a few things, and she's very good at curtsies. Lane has become a choreographer, he'll tell her to do a few things like, put one hand behind your back, one above your head, then turn around, and now do jazz hands! And she'll do it all (funny that he's starting to learn some dance terminology). I'm so very excited to get her into lessons, I'd really like to do a mommy and me one.
-She is such a girl. IE- Getting my highlights touched up at a friends house, she walks into the kitchen where I'm sitting there with foil in my hair, she says to me, "You cute, mom!" One afternoon I'd touched up my foundation before we had company over, she noticed the change and once again, told me that "I cute" (I don't think Lane even notices when I have on eye liner-really, I think eye makeup is quite obvious ). I look forward to having shopping days and spa time with this girl, she'll make sure that I'm looking good, even when I get real old.
-As girly as she is, she can hold her own. Aige and Payton like to wrestle (as boys do), well, Evelyn gets right in there with them. The other day she had them both pinned at the same time.
-She adores Aige. When we're out and about and he's not with us she'll ask many times, "where Aige go".
-On her birthday I asked her what she wanted for breakfast and she replied, "cake!" And just before bed I told her "happy birthday, Evelyn" and she said, "happy my birthday, mommy".
Evelyn usually eats in the nake (her word for being naked, she thinks it is funny to be nake, and we somtimes call her the nake) it helps with laundry. Now I just need a dog so I don't have to clean the floor or her hands and face.

Buy Me Some Peanuts and Cracker Jacks!
The other night I bought a little t-ball set for the kids, ok, and me. We've had such crappy weather that we didn't pull it out until this morning. I had so much fun teaching Aige how to hold the bat, how to stand and where, and all about the game of baseball. He's a natural!! I'm super anxious to get him onto a team but am not having much luck finding something other than the little league (and I can't even get ahold of them and fear they'll want tons of money, as I know they aren't cheap). This was one of those days that I'm so glad we have a huge yard, we could spread out the bases and he was hitting the ball pretty far. Now if we can get him to remember to run to first base instead of where the ball went, we might have a pro on our hands!

We're home
We are still alive, in case any of you are wondering. It's been a crazy week and today has been the first day that I've even turned on my computer. Lane came home on Tuesday, but we shouldn't have left the hospital. They changed his pain meds as we were leaving. It was suppose to be stronger and instead made him nauseous and in more pain. I think/hope that we're finally now getting him comfortable again. Lane's mom, Terry, got here Thursday night and it's been great having her here to help. Some of the guys from work came on Saturday to help us with our cabinets. Remember we had just started that project? I really hope by the end of the week that I'll have a kitchen in the kitchen again. Right now, Evelyn's room has been designated as the cupboard. I've really been feeling so blessed by our ward, family, and friends. and I've been amazed at everyone's willingness to help us out. Really, you all are great!
