Curious George Meet Buzz Lightyear

So we went trick-or-treating with McKay, Katie, Payton, and McKenzie. The boys were pretty excited and got a good amount of candy. Of course, Lane was The Man in the Yellow Hat, and McKay was Woody. We lucked out and had really nice weather, it was actually quite warm (especially since I'm used to snow on Halloween). Who can beat free candy! Happy Halloween!

Our Weekend of FUN!

Sweet Evelyn

Grandma Sanders and Aunt Debi were a little camera happy this weekend and Evelyn finally opened up and showed them how cute her smile is. Evelyn had her 6 month well baby check today. (Yes, she is almost 7 months old!). She is a healthy 19 pounds and 3 ounces and 27 inches long. Wow has she grown! Isn't she just adorable?

Curious George and The Man in the Yellow Hat

aka, Lane and Aige

Saturday was our ward's trunk-or-treat. Thankfully, Mom, Dad, and Debra decided to come for a visit for the weekend and Mom was able to take over the yellow hat project for me. (I wouldn't have been able to get it to look as good). Oh, and for Lane's sake, he figured out how to make the top-rounded part of the hat and cut it out. Yeah for Mom and Lane! However, I can take full responsibility for the cutest little monkey ever, and his costume. I had to call every Old Navy in Idaho and one in Utah before I finally found it in Bozeman. In fact, it had disappeared from the Old Navy website, too. I also checked out e-bay and they had a few listings with at least 10 bidders each. I was almost crying when I thought I'd missed out on getting Aige the bestest and cutestest Monkey costume. Notice- it is complete with a banana in pocket!

US

What some of you may not know (only because you live so gosh darn far away) is that Lane and I have the two cutest kids ever! (No need to argue for your own kids. You will not change my mind...like you've ever been able to)(sidenote-ya'll have cute kids too) But really, each day Aige cracks us up with some 3 year old insight (ya- 3 years old! almost). And Evelyn is just beautiful. 6 1/2 months old and she is usually smiling and jabbering, unless she doesn't know you, then she's a little shy. Lane is our #1. Of course, Aige adores him, and they are best friends. As soon as he hears the door unlocking he's telling me, "Daddy's home, Mom! Daddy's home!" and then they are connected at the hip until bedtime, and sometimes after. Whenever he (either of them) is in the room, Evelyn has to be watching what is going on. And you know she's is anxiously waiting to join in on the fun. She loves watching Aige run around, and he gets a kick out of making her laugh. With Lane being gone as much as he has, it has made me realize just how much I do need him. Too often I take him for granted. I'm blessed to married to a man that is willing to work, to play, to help out, and to pray, and to lead our little family down that straight and narrow pathway.

All right, all right! I finally jumped on the bandwagon and created ourselves a blog. (Well, really it wasn't that hard.) Now, the rest of you Sanders, Christensens, or whoever you are should do this, too.
